IN pursuance of a resolution ofthe Board to open Books of subscription for the unsubscribed Stock of this Bank on the fourth Monday of November next, Books will accordingly be opened on that day at the Principal Bank and its several Branches, during Bank hours, ; and kept open until Thursday the 3d day of Decern ber, inclusive, and then closed, except the whole 4234 shares shall not then have , been subscribed ; in which case, as soon as the fact shall be ascertained, a book will be kept open at the Principal Bank lur icn uays longer. W II. HAYWOOD, Cashier. 200 Dollars Reward. RAN A WAY from the subscri ber' on the 20th of October last, two negro men, AMP.S0 N and JOE. Sampson is about 50 years of uge, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, dark complexion,, and stout built had on when he went awayi a tarpawling hat, and a white woolen homespun jacket and trowsers. Joe is about 30 years of ae, 6 feet high, sienaer Dunt, very black, has had the small pox, yith which he is conr siderably marked, and has lost the middle toe of his left foot he took with him a new furred hat, and a striped noinespun acket and trow sers. They wilU probably assume the names oi Samuel Brown and Joe Ferret, and will perhaps have free passes. ' It is supposed that they are lurking on the seaboard, somewhere between Swansbo rough k Norfolk, The last accounts received of them state that they were endeavoring to reach Edenton. The above reward vvill be given to any person who will deliver them to me, or one hundre d and fifty dol lars to secure them in any jail, so that I get them. The convenience therefore, of the Pure Lemon Acid, for 'Taverns and Public Places of Amusement Aill be sufficiently obvious, particularly in the Country. . It is recommended to Naval and Military Officers, Travel lers, Masters of vessels and o thers going long voyages : it is in a state of dry powder, put up in s'mall glass bottles, is quite portable, and will retain its delightful flavour and strength for years, in any climate. A tea-spoonful of this Acid is suffi cient for a quart of Punch or Lem onade. . . " It is warranted to contain no ex traneous matter, or any thing in the least injurious to the, constitution.
