FOUR FUNNr FELLOWS. i Theo. Gibber, in compaojr Witb three oth. ers, made an excur?iof,4 Theodore, had a false set of teeth, a . second a glass eye, a third a cork leg, but the fourth had nothing particular except a remarkable way of thak ing his bead. They travelled in 'a, post coach, and while on the . first stage,' after each had made merry witti his neighboor's infirmity, they agreed that at every, bating place they would all affect the same singu larity. When they came to breakfast they were all to squint- and language cannot ex press how admirably they all squinted ,' for they went one degree beyond the superla tive. At dinner; they all , appeared to have cork legs, and their stumping about' made more1 diversion than they b$d done at breax fest. At tea they were alldeaf ; . but ' at supper which was at the Ship at Dover, each man resumed his 1 character, the better , to p!ay his part in a farce they ha4' conceited among them. Whsn they were ready to go to bed, Gibber called out to the . waiter ' Here, you fellow, take out my 4 teeth.'- 4 Teeth sir V aid thje man. Ay, teeth sir---(Jnscrew thatj wire, and thej'lf all come out together." After some hesitation, the man did as be was ordered. , This was no soon er performed! than a second called out- 'Here you take out m"f-eye.? - 'Sir,' 8 said the waiter, j your eye V Yes, my J eye. -Come here you tupid doer, pull up that eve lid, and it will come out as easily as possi ble. .This done, the thud cried out Uere you rascal take . off my leg.' -This be did with less reluctance,' being before apprized that it was cork, and also conceiving-that it would be his last job. He was however mis takeii; (pwth wats'heel his opportunity, tad while the frightened waiter was survey ing with rueful countenance,-the eye, teeth. ont in ' a frightful hollow voice ''Come here, sir, take off my head, Turning rounds and see in the man's .head shaking like' that of -a mandarin upon a chimney piece, he ' darted oat of the room--and after tumbling down stairs, he ran madly aboyt the house, as if wiimeu out pi uis seuses.
