THE GENUINE HYGElAN VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL MEDICINE Accurately pre pared by Dr. H. S. Meat, of New Yk, from the original recipe used for many year by his late father, Mr. Thomas Moat, Vice President of the British Col lege of Health. Twenty years successful administration of these celebrated medicine in Europe, and more than twelve year in the United State, have established their high reputation. Thousand of both sexes, who have been restored to health the numerous sufferers rescued from premature death and volume of certified cases of cure, embracing every disease in the long catalogue of human misery ; must convince the most incredu lous of their superiority and the truth of the Hygeian theory, resulting from scientific research and expe rience, namely, that 'roan i subject to only one real disease impurity of the blood." The Mi-dicines being composed entirely of herbs or vegetable matter, purify the blood, and carry off ihe corrupt humor of the body, in a manner so simple as to give every day ease and pleannre. Man will be burn to days of bliss, compared to what ha hitherto been his lot, weighed down as he baa been by disease, infirmities, and suffering which no earthly power knew how to alleviate, until this dis covery waa presented to the world. 'The weak, the feeble, tbeinfirm, the nervous, the delicate, are in a few days strengthened by iheir operation, and the most obstinaie complaints are removed by perseve rance without the expense of a Physician.. Adapted tn all circumstance and situations, they are the best yMcdicine ever invented for Families, or to take to sea, preventing ncurvy and cfttttiveness.F requiring no change-of diet, particular tegimen, or care against ta king cold. About thin time, a friend told me of your newly discovered operation for the radical cure of hernia, and I p"plied to you two months aftei wafdfl. I cannot describe the operation you perform ed, but I do not think the painful pari of it lasted mora than two minute. So many and so Varied are the forms of some of his finer instruments, that no tooth or fang, however deeply buried in the gum, has ever been presented le him which has not been instantly extracted, with facil ity and always without the slightest injury to the jaw.. One extractor only, the result of toil and study, lately indented by Dr. S. be cannot reveal, and to this in strument, particularly, his ability to extract without severe pain is due. High compliment have been paid, in the American Journal of Dental surgery and other periodical. 10 the elegant finish fcnd perfect adaptation t the purimee of hi plugging instruments, yet those invented since his arrival in Raleigh are certainly superior, in every respect, to all heretofore used, since by them the re quisite degree of force, for consolidating the gold into a firm and dense plug, can be applied witboat danger of jarring the tooth, or of slipping and wounding the mouth of ihe patient. - . IT RESPECTFULLY offer to manufacturing Mil JJjer of N. C, J. F. Barrett' Patent Garlick and rmut Machine. This machine is construct, d upon the prim ipalof a rubber, beater and blower combined. The wheat enters the machine sod passes through a strong current of wind a it is beaten, the filth and 11 extrancvue matter being blown off as fast as sepai rated from the grain Pit then passes under a scroll screw-plate and the dired amount of pressure, i ef fected by a lever and weight, regulated at the will of the millet. The grain under the plate is from one to four inchesdeep, confined and in motion; it necessarily creates a friction upon itself, and consequently breaks j every substance tofier.,and polish- the' surface It : then passes into a tube at an angle, of forty-five !e- j greet of confined wind and every substance whose specific gravity is not aa grtat, as the wheat, is separa ted by apertures in the tube. This machine is exten sively used in the North Mates and District of Colum- . bia. I have also many ia operation in this Stle. Wherever they bae been put into operation, ihey have invariably given satisfaction. I deem it unne cessary to ray more in behalf of this machine, but sub mit a few of the many Certificate I have obtained in' ita favor. J. B. BARRETT. I wiH further state, that I believe it to 'be the most eebndm cal wheat cleaning machine ever introduced into this section ol country, a it removes the filth without waste or loss of grain. I have observed since I hav had ihia machine in operation, that th ground meal bolt much better, and the quality of the fhmr has been greatly improved.
