THE GENUINE HYGEIAN GETABLE UNI VER8ALMEDICINE- Accurately pre pared by Dr. H. S. Moat, of New Yeik, from the original recipe used for many years by his lale father, Mr- Thomas Meat, Vice President of the British Col lege of Health. Twenty years successful administration of these celebrated medicines in Europe, and more than twelve years in the United States, have established their high reputation, Thousands of both sexes, who havs been restored to health the numerous sufferers rescued from premature death and volumes of certified cases of care, embracing every disease in the long catalogue of human, misery ; must convince the most incredu lous, ef their superiority and the truth of the Hvgeian theory, resulting froni scientific research and' expe rience, namely, that roan is subject to only one real disease impurity of fhe blood." y " - 1 he Medicines being composed en tireTy of herbs or vegetable matter, purify the blood, and emrry off the corrupt humors of the body, in a manner so statple as to give every day ease and pleasure; '. - Man will be born to days of bliss, compared to what has hitherto been his lot, weighed dowji as he has been by disease, infirmities, and sufferings' which no earthly power knew how to alleviate, until this dis covery was presented to the world. The weak, the few days strengthened by their operation, and the most obstinate complaints are removed by perseve rance without the expense of a Pbysictan. Adapted to all circumstances and situations, tfiey are the best Medicine ever invented for Families, or to take to sea, preventing scurvy and costiveness, requiring no change of diet, particular regimen, or care against ta king cold. OTT The prepotency ef these Tnedictnee, has indu ced many speculators to attempt imposition on the public, by forging the labels, or forcing their Imito tions into notice through the medium ef the Press. Some of them pretend to Hygeian principles, by steal' in? from the writings of the Hygeist, and copying whole pages into their fulsome advertisements. But as they cannot copy the medicine, their speci fics or their deleterious nostrums prove to be una voti ng, their puffing and piracy become evident ; disap pointment to the afflicted is eventual, and with just obloquy the pretenders sink into oblivion. The Hygeisn medicines, first introduced into this: country by H. S. Moat, in 1830, hae for the last four years been prepared by bun and the increasing sale attests their intrinsic merit ; they comprise two sorts of Pills, No. 1 and No. 2, in single boxes of each at 26 or 50 cents i and Packets containing both sorts, at (1,82, or $3. The Vegetable Cleansing Powders, in large boxes', at 37 J cents, with printed directions. Each packet has a fac simile of the signature of H. Shepbeard : Moat, and to prevent counterfeits, are signed with a pen by the district agent and sub-sgent on a label of yellow paper. Pioneers geauine unless they neve tnese signatures, and are obtained from seb-agenls, woo can produce their written appointments from the district agent, and whose names are advertised in their respective districts. H. SnicrsiKABs Moat, Principal Office, 60 Canal st. All orders will be promptly, filled et 20 per cent. less than retail prices for all sums over twenty five dollars, for cash- Some person in every Town and Villaes, ought to keep this valuable medicine, for the benefit of their fellow men. I FIND in the Raleigh Register of the 13th instant, an advertisement signed by Abram Hester, in ... s. . which a most unjust attacK u menfe on ray cnaracter. The question- whether the said Hester i liable on the evidence ef debt upon which the attachment is. sued, is a matter the Court and Jury have to deter mine. I allege, that I em so advised, that he is seet rityon the obligation, and equally liable with Lewis, the principal. As to his chargA of my being a note shaver and oppressor of the poor, I shall not reply ; but am wiling to leave both my occaostioli end eon duet to be judged of by those who have known me best, premising at the same time, however.lhat those who live in glass nooses snouiu not cast stones, end thsi such ' as take delight in censuring others should first east the beam from their own eye.
