PILLS I ! PILLS ! ! ! HEALTH THE TRUEST RICHES. THE CELEBRATED If u get fin Vegetable Pills. Can be had at the Store John Pkimrose, FAYETTEVILLE STREET, RALEIGH, N. C. MOAT'S MORISON PILLS. THE GENUINE HYGEIAN VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL .MEDICINE Accurately pre pared by Dr. H. S. Moat, of New York, from the original recipe used for many years by his late father, Mr. I homas Moat. Vice President of the British Col- ege of Health. Twenty years' successful administration of these celebrated medicines in Europe, and more than twelve years in the United States, have established their high reputation. Thousands of both sexes, who have been restored to health the numerous sufferers rescued from premature death and volumes of certified cases of cure, embracing every disease in the long catalogue of human misery ; must convince the most incredu lous, of their superiority and the truth of the Hvgeian theory, resulting from scientific research and expe rience, namely, that 'man is subject to only one real disease impurity of the blood." 1 he Medicines being composed enurely of herbs or vegetable matter, purify the blood, and carry off the corrupt humors of the body, in a manner so simple as to give every day ease and pleasure. Man will be born todays of bliss, compared to what has hitherto been bis lot, weighed down as he has been by disease, infirmities, and sufferings which no earthly power knew how to alleviate, until this dis covery was presented to the world. The weak, the feeble, the infirm, the nervous, the delicate, are in a few days strengthened by their operation, and the most obstinate complaints are removed by perseve rance without the eipense of a Physician. Adapted to all circumstances and situations, they are the best Medicine ever invented for Families, or to take to sea, preventing scurvy and costiveness, requiring no change of diet, particular regimen, or care against ta- king cold. (jj The prepotency of these medicines, has indu ced many speculators to attempt imposition on the public, by forging the labels, or forcing their Imita tions into notice through the medium of the Press. Some of them pretend to Hygeian principles, by steal ing from the writings of the Hygeist, and copying whole pages into their fulsome advertisements. But as they cannot copy the medicine, their speci fics or their deleterious nostrums prove to be unavail- ng, their puffing and piracy become evident ; disap pointment to the afflicted U eventual, and with just obloquy the pretenders sink into oblivion. The Hygeian medicines, first introduced into this country by H. S. Moat, in 1830, have for the fast four years been prepared by htm, and the increasing sale attests their intrinsic merit ; they comprise two sorts of Pills, No. 1 and No. 2, in single boxes of each1 at 25 or 50 cents ; and Packets containing both sorts, at $1,$2, or $3. The Vegetable Cleansing Powders, in large Ivoxes, at 37$ cents, with printed directions. Each packet has a fac simile of the signature of H Shspheard Moat, and to prevent Counterfeits, are signed with a pen by the district agent and sub-agent on a label of yellow paper. None are genuine unless they have these signatures, and are obtained from sub-agents, who can produce their written appointments from the district agent, and whoe names are advertised in their respective districts. H. Shcpheabd Moat, Principal Office, 50 Canal ft. All orders will be promptly filled at 20 percent. less than retail prices for all sums over twenty five dollars, for cash. TT FIND in the Raleigh Register of the 1 3th instant, U an advertisement signed by Abram Hester, in which a most unjust attack is made on my character The attachment there spokert of, was issued by me according to law, and under advice of counsel, and the whole Public are well aware, that Mr. Hester was (until very lately) absent at the South west; that the impression with mnt, and belief with many, prevailed that he would not return, owing to his indebtedness here. The question whether the said Hester is liable on the evidence of debt upon which the attachment is sued, is a matter the Court and Jury have to deter mine. I allege, that I am so advised that he is secu rity on the obligation, and equally liable with Lewis, the principal. As to his charges of my being a note shaver and oppressor of the poor, I shall not reply ; but am wiling to leave both my occupation and con duct to be judged of by those who1 have known nte best, premising at the same time, however, that 'those who live In glass houses should not cast stones, and that such as take delight in censuring others should first cast the beam from their own ey e. Let him look to his own occupation, let him comply faithfully with his own obligations, and return home a little earlier hereafter, before heavy judgments are obtained against his sureties, and then perhaps, be will neither have time io abuse his neighbor or censure those who mv ipisue attachments against his property. The Public has but little interest iri this controversy except so far as it will develope the true charac ter of A. Hester. Let them see to it ! JACOB HUNTER.
