of the Militia of this State, the Officers commanding
Regiments am required, as soon aa practicable, to
convene the officers and men of their respective regi
menta. and make a call for Volunteers to serve dur.
ing the War with Mexico, unless sooner discharged.
The Colonel exrects both officers and men to do
their dutv in this emergency ; and, to enforce punc
tualily and obedience, will require of the proper offi
cers of each company a correct roll of their men, and
will hold all delinquents strictly responsible. vTJie
Adjutant of the Regiment is required to prepare a
proper Roll for the enlistment of volunteers, aud the
Colonel trusts, with pride, to the patriotic honor and

months each ; the first Session beginning on the first
of January, and the second Session, on the first of

It is the design of the Preceptor, that this Institu
tion shall not be surpassed, in the advantages afforded
for. acquiring a thorough English, Classical and
Mathematical Education.
Pupils will be prepared to enter the Junior Class of
any College in the United Stales.

The sdvanced Classes may pursue the Studies of
a lower Class, paying only for the Studies of the
