July 17. 1847. y IB T- a clanse in an Act of the last Genera) As sembly of North' Carotins, entitled " An Act fy the better regulation ofohe Militia of this State," it was made the duty of the nndersigned to procure ' k description of the Uniform arid Accoutrements, now worn by the Commissioned Officers of the Uniied States Tlegulsr Army, which by this Ac'ia sdopted as the tlniibrm ftr Officers commissioned, of similar grade in the Militia, snd have the same, " together with all the laws now in force in this State, regulating the Militia, published in Pamphlet form t and also, to procure McCoxa's Tactics, snd furnish " to each Msjor General five Copies of each work, 'to every Brigadier General, five copies of each work, " and to each Colonel of a Regiment, twelve copies ' of each work, for distribution among the Officers M of the Militia, as the Generals and Colonels ms 44 think proper." This is to notify sll concerned, that the said Pam phlet has been published, and the said Tactics pro. cured, and are now in my Office, ready for distribu tion ss prescribed by the Act of Assembly.
