Petersburg, March 6. 12 tf Strong's Patent Lamps, AT the 20th Annual Fair of the " American In stitute," just clewed, the Subscriber received the medal " for the best design of Lamps" (Strong's Pa tent). The superiority of these Lamp has now beeu publicly tested, and by the award of Messrs. Cox and Stoutenburg, (dealer in Solar and other Lamps, Committee on Lamps, fully admitted to be superior to all others now in use. In addition to this official announcement, iu behalf of 44 Strong's Patent La Mrs" by the American Institute, we are permitted to state that one of the Lamps was in constant use, day and night, in the Manager's Room, duriug the Fair, giving great comfort and satisfaction to all who were employed in reading or writing, by its brilliaut and shadowless light; and' refer to Hon. F. Tall madge, President, Gen. Chandler, and other member of the Institute, for the correctness of the above statement.
