Messrs Wyatt und Ketcham : Gentlemen Un derstanding that yon are the General Agents for the sale of Dr. Upbam's Vegetable Electuary, for the cure of the Piles, I have deemed it my duty to vol unteer a recommendation in behalf ot that invaluable medicine. I have been afflicted for many years with the Piles, and have tried various remedies, but with no beneficial ellecis. Indeed, I degan to consider my case hopeless But, about the first of September last I was prevailed upon by a friend to make a tri al of the above named medicine ; I took his advice, and rejoice to say that I am noipnly relieved, but as I believe, perfectly cured. 1 most earnestly recom mend it io all who may have the misfortune to be af flicted Willi thai annoying and dangerous disease. The ast three, years of that time my sufferings defy de scription. 1 wasconhneu to bed unable to help my self, and at last given up by my physicians and friends n despair ot ever gaining ray healih ; in fact, for a time before I commenced using Dr. Upham's Elec tuary, I was entirely speechless, and my burial clothes were made. But under the beneficent meicie of Providence, and the use of Dr. Upham's Electuary, though an old maw, I have the pleasure of stating the fact to the public that my health is now good, and I hope to live many years, if it is God's will, to make known the virtues of Dr Upham s Electuary, and to recommend it to my afflicted fellow creatures. t helped me beyond the expectations of all who knew my case, and I can only say to others, that it ia in my opinion, the best medicine in the world lor Piles, or any other disesse of the bowels ; and if ihey will use it according to the directions, I will myself warrant a cure, in every case. Yours, with the utmost expression of thankfulness, CORNELIUS SPUR. Eoramojit, Berk Co. IT HAS long been.a question among teachers and amatenra of music, as to the most suitable touch for a Piano Forte. Some at this time contend for a light touch, while others, with equal ability, advocate the heavy. This question is now permanently set tied. WISE & BROTHER have invented a con trivance by which the same Instrument may he in stantly set to anv required touch, by the turning a single screw, varying, if necessary, three hundred and sixty-five differences. The advantages of this are evident, both to teachers and amateurs, as lessons may be practised on the heavy, and exhibited on the lighter touch, to suit exactly any physical capacity which is agreeable to fact and progressive lessons. The contrivance is simple, and may be applied to any common Piano We invite the most critical investigation. A Patent is about to be taken for the improvement. J.J. WISE & BROTHER.
