Mr. Wade stamps the cur rent report of his remarks on that occasion as a garbled account from thepen of a man who purposely misunderstood him, and pertinently remarks, "Why, !sir, if you would make an equitable; distribution or all the property in thd United States to-day among the people, in five years it would again be in the hands of a few men.- Such a measure would not be just, nor would it be of , any practicable, ad vantage :ta the., poor people if done.
