In a llagis trate's.courl Berry;s of this city, there are at present pending no less than seven charges of male parentage to illegitimate children, each of the children being of a questionable color, the mothers being colored, and the re ported fathers, in every instance, being white men. But the most surprising thing in the -whole chapter is, that every one of the re ported pere is a dyed in-ihe-wool democrat Here is where the -objection, as we sur mised, exists for no longer charging there publican party with a desire to introduce social equality. - - -A?he stale bf affairs, as they exist in the , Magistrate's court, are in, the Jact but a cqn tinuance of the old practices, but in 'effect and situation different fromany tning that has existed in, thia-section of ; the country until recently, .
