Venable, of Gran ville, which took place on Saturday evening, 19th inst., in the 77th year of his age. INIr. Venable has been much in public life having repre- sented this district in Congress be- foro the war and was a prominent leader of the old line Democratic party. He has servetl several times In the General Assembly. He was man of great will, and, although, posseting a seeming roughness m his manner, had a generous and noble heart.
