OUR ROLL OF BUYERS. Tnose Who Slake the Planters Happy on Our Market. Mount Airy contains a lively set of leaf buyers and dealers. Some of them are handsome and some are not, some are married and some are not. but all of them are good judges of tobacco and when they congregate around a pile of mahogany leaf theyrun the price up in a lively manner. We propose this week to 6how them up right here : . . IXCICS TIIXET, This lively. man came here from Durham a year or so ago and is now one of our most agsreive leaf buyers. He has hazel eyes and a black mustache and wears socks. He fxces the music of our inveterate auctioneers with remarkable cool ness and manages to keep up with every pile.. lie carries a pleasant countenance. lie h opular with the trade and is Secretary and Treai urer of oar To!icco Association. Erich week he will report the leaf market for tnis paper and delight our farmers with news of high prices. t. J. nrirrox. This man is not a snd man. He chews. tobacco, talks fast and really gets in about as many well rounded words as the auctioneer docs. He knows good tobacco when ho sec6 it and prefers it the same fchade as his side whiskers which are long, graceful and imposing.
