fcllGHT DAYS LATER FROM EUROPEv New York, Oct. 25 1833. By the arrival yesterday, of the packet ships, North America, from Liverpool ; York from London ; and Havre from Havre, we have re ceived London dates of Sept. 15th, and Liver pool of the 16th. - Parliament not being in session, otir English papers are more barren than' usual, Donna Maria the Queen of Portugal had been re ceived at Portsmouth with suitable honours, and, to use the language of. the Liverpool Al bion, with a cordiality due to her inti tnate relations with that country. The Mar quis of Wellesley, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, was expected to h:tve arrived there on "the 25th. The'Marquls of Anglesea, the late Lord Lieu tenant, had arrived at Dublin to receive his suc cessor. , London, Sept. 14. " City 12 o'clock. We are perfectly desti tute of any news, either foreign or domestic, this morning, the only continental arrival being from Paris, the advices from whence do not contain any information of the slightest in terest. , IRELAND The New Lord Lieutenant The Marquis Welleslev is expected in Dublin on the 26th inst., with full powers to resume the reins of Vice Reffal Government. His Maiestv and the'Qucen,.it is confidently stated in London, purpose paying an early visit : to Ireland, accompanied by the Dutches of Kent ; the Princes Victoria, and the principal members of the Court of St, James. Dublin Eve. Mail. Retirement of the Lord Lieutenant. The Marauis of Anglesea reached Dublin on Tues day, having made the journey for the express ournose'of receiving the new Lord Lieutenant, and personally resigning into his hands the government of his lands. This act of cour tesey completed, thcTNoble Marquis passes to Naples and winters at Rome, his physicians hav ing declared that a change of air is absolutely necessary for the preservation of his ealth, Mr. O'Connel had arrived at Derryane, from London. At Corkhe declined the honor of a public dinner. The following is an extract of his letter to his friends in that place : Your invitation proves that you concur with me in the just and unextinguishable in dignation, that every lover of liberty and Ire land must feel at (the Coercive Bill,) the grea test, and, I trust, the last outrage that hss been perpetrated upon unhappy Ireland by the inso lence of British power, combined with5 British falsehood and folly. The shouts of bartfaric denomination with which the Coercion Bill was cherred still ring in my" ears, and enliven my determination to render a repetion of such a sceie impossible, by that which alone can secure the liberty of Ireland, and the constitu tional connexion of the countries the restora tion of our domestic iegilature." FRANCE. ' Paris, Sept, 12lh. The accounts received ..." irom Rouen, which have reached usthismorn ing, contain little more respecting the move ments of the King and Royal Family, than the intelligence that has been communicated by telegraph. '-j The Pilotedu Calvados of Caen, in giving an account of the arrival of the. king in that towa, says that on his Majesty's passage, the shouts of Vive la Liberte ! were generally blended with those of .Vive la Roi! "The King," adds the Pilote, ajso heard the cries of a ba,s les uarlistes: wnicn naa aireaay sirucit Ads ear in several of the towns through which ho. had passed." , We have this morning received the Paris papers of Thursday. The royal progress through France forms one of the principal sub jects with which those journals are filled. The King and Queen were at Rouen on the 10th instant, on which there was a review of the National Guards of the town and troops station ed there, to the number of 30,000. After visiting several manufactories during the day, the royal family attended a ball in the eve sung at the pieatre, given in honor of their vi sit, at which the Duke de Nemours and the Princes danced in several quadrilles. The Kin was expected to return to Paris on Thurs day. The Messager des Chambers gives, as from good authority, the report of a conversation etween the Duches of Braganza and Louis Philippe, relative to the proposal by the latter, tha t Donna Maria, the young queen of Portu gal should marry the Duke de Nemours. The 5uv"hoss is stated to have peremptorily refused to lis tcXl to sucn a proposition, stating that "herdavtfMer's affections were engaged to her uncle th e Juke of Letchenberg; and it is ad ded that n cnse(luence f lbis declaration, i telegraph0 dispatch was immediately for warded to prevent the Duke from entering Prance. His majesty' sschooner Pike is this moment arrived from Lisborn and Oporto, bringing news from the former place to the 27th ult., and the latter to the 29th. The contest is any thing but decided, for it appears that Marshal -Bourmont is in full march towards the capital, : with a force of about 18,000 troops. Boum monfB head quarters is at Lema, about 77 filiJe from Jisbon. General I,emnR WaR at Santarem, about &5 miles frohi the capita), and Don Miguel's calvary were at Torres Vedras, about 27 miles from Lisbon. Bv this time their forces must be - concentrated at Torres Vedras, about 27 miles from Lisbon, - Later from France, aiid Partial.
