AN ACT to reorganize the General Land Office.
Be it enacted by the Senate and. House of
Keprcsentatives of the United States of Ameri
ca in Congress assembled, IThat from and af

scribed, or which may hereafter be prescribed by law,
appertaining to the surveying and sale ofthe public lands

public lands, and, also, such as relate to private claims
of land, and the issuing of patents for all grants of land

States, shall- be subject to the supervision and control
ofthe Commissioner of the General Land Office, uufier
