Jordan Win stead, colored, found' guilty of an assault with intent to commit rape upon the person of a respectable white married lady, was on his way to the penileutiary for 15 years. Another colored man named Read was on his way to the penitentiary for 15 years for attempting a rape upon the person of a colored wo man.
