At the conference of the People's Varty at . lialelgh last week it was definitely decided' to nominate a ticket for Presidential Electors and Congressmen In each district, and delegates were elected to the Omaha Convention. The Congressional Convention at Durham on the 17th inat. nominated I Hon. A. ,11. A. Williams to succeed himself by acclamation. John A. Barringcr, Esq , was choseu district elector, J. L. King, E-q., and Major John W. Graham weie elected dele gates to Chicago, with R. li. Boon, of Durham, and Dr. Foulkes, ol Stokes, as alternates. Tho State ticket nominated by the Democrats at Raleigh last week seems to give geneial satisfaction to tho party throughout tho State. The Republicans are not so well pleased, know it is no use to run a State ticket in opposition. Now let the Third Party abandon the idea of nominating an Electoral ticket, and North Carolina will roll up a tremendous Democratic majority. The Democratic State Conven tion at 'Raleigh nominated the fol lowing ticket : For Governor Elias Carr, of Edgecombe. For Lieutenant Governor R. A: Donghton, of Alleghany. For Secretary of Stale Octavius Coke, of Wake. For Auditor Robert M. For roan, of Buncombe. For Treasurer Donald W. Bain of Wake. For Superintendent of Public Iu Ptruction John C. What roost wo men need is to be relieved of some of the slavish work that is piled on them, and a free, hut judicieus use of strengthening tonics, such as P. P. P. (Prickly Ash, Poke Root and ! Sax Jose, Cal., November 25, 1891. Watson & Co., San Francisco Dear Sirs : With the use of the Electropoise ray wife has very suc cessfully treated a case of scarlet fever in our family. Our ten year old daughter, since the date of mv las letter, has daily improved. 1 Tho rash with which her body was covered has entirely disappear ed. Now the cnticle is pneliug on the tips of her fiuters. The whites ot her. eyes, which at first.were qui'e bloodshot, aie now clear. Yester tlay she was taken out for a two hours' ride. The disease commenced with sore throat ; we thought it nothing more until the rasn ap peared. The -'poise was applied to the throat for half an hour and iheo to the wrist for an hour. As near as my wite can call to mind, two treat ments were made the first day and one the second day. The 'poise worked like a charm, quickly arrest ing the inflammation in the throat and checking the fever. Subsequent treatment was from twenty minutes to half an hour on the wrist and an hour on the ank'e. No physician wai called and no medicine of any kind given.
