State Treasuier Lacy is spending the whiter in Arizona on account ot his health. He is a great sufferer from asthma acd found from previ. ous experience that' tho Arizona climate gives him relief from this most troublesome malady. The State has appropriated the first $100,000 out of the State Treas ury for the benefit ol the public schools of the State. Orange coua ty will receive 8673.84. The money will be distributed the first Monday in January. Liter on another ap propriation of 100,000, or so much thereof a is needed, will be appro priated to those counties that are not able to maintain a four months' school.
