The i l!y ag -nt of that capiti1. tronpe Tony Deaier's Humpty Dumpty Com bination, wan in the city yesterday, and made ai rannements for a performance n Thursday, January 9th. Of the troupe the Savannah News' thus dis courses : Notwithstanding the inclement weather last evening Tony Deuier's C"kbiaed Humpty Dumpty Combina tion were greeted with a hue house The pantomi n 1 was given in excellent style, aud many novelties of the, most amusing chataoter were introduced Grimaldi is undoubtedly the most ver satile aud accomplished of clowns, and possesses wonderful facial powers, some of his grimaces being simply irresist ible. Ttie other characters in the pan tomime were ad well represented, and their pranks atlorded infinite entertain nieut to the audience, We C3n' par ticularly commend the rapid and smooth manner in which the entire performance was given, evincing eX' perienced stage management, and greatly increasing the gratification of the delighted house. Ihe olio perform ance, embracing various specialties, was beyond question the best in the variety line ever given in Savannah. Every feature was good, and received the most unstinted applause. The gymnastic performances of Clifton and Fox, the 8ons and dances of Lester and Wil liams, and the grace ajd skill of Venus and Adonis ou their velocipedes, were uuexc.-lled in their line. Charles Dia moud, as the Milanese Minstrel, play ing upon the harp, singing and dancing at the same time, gave a novel per formauce that was highly enjiyed. Miss Moulton, who possesses an attrac tive face and form, was much admired in her exercise with the Indian clubs, and Phil Heath's exhibition of the wonders of ventriloquism was a rare treat. In fact, there is not a poor per former in the entire company, and the show is unusually good. Ilote Arrivals. Yakiokocoh House, Jan. 1, 1879.
