There were six capital cases to be tried. The State's Attorney, Capt. Qalloway, entered a nol prod in thecaae dt" John Uivers. A case of burglary from riethel was decided by the jury against the S a e, and Levi Dawson was not found guilty of the murder of which he was onarged. lhe trial ot t Frank Bell (white) and Reuben Harris (colored) for the- murder of young uir ley near the Greenville Bridge last Fall, is now- in progress.
