Father and Thiee Sons in Prison, the Fourth Charged With Burglary. The last of a noted Wake county faul ty of criminals has been lodged in jail here, charged with a capital crime, bur glary. Ho is John Burch, a colored boy of thirteen years. His father and three older brothers are now serving long terms in the State's Prison for the commission of crimes of more or less magnitude. One of the brothers, tom Burch, will be remembered as the burglar who entered the grocery store of J. D. Turner & Co., about four years ago, and who was caught and shot in the act. He succeed ed in getting away but was arrested near Cary a day or two afterwards. He is now serving a long term sentence for this crime. There seems to be a strain of mean blood in them. As soon as they get old enough each one of the boys has committed crimes and all were finally caught. The crime which John Burt is charged with is the burglary, with two other hoys, of the residence of Mi - . Chas. Al ien on Hie 151 h instant, the residence of Dr. Pittenger on the 23rd and the resi dence of Mr. W. H. Hughes on Sunday night. The other two negroes are Heze kiah Jones, aged 16, and Chas. Ward, age 14. The youthful criminals would go around in the early part of the night, between 7 and 9 o’clock. They would choose a house which they had some reason to be lieve that the occupants were away. The mode of entry was generally through a rear window. Nothing of bulk would be taken, but they would choose small ar ticles of value and clothing. Several pock tobooks, some small currency and several suits of clothes have been missed from the houses entered. Policeman Rogers, assisted by Police man Woodall, have been on the trail since their first venture and finally succeeded ir. landing these young criminals. One ol’ them has confessed.
