James (Tlark, a young North Carollnlaji,; was shot and instantly killed on the coun ty road near Leatherwood. this morn ing, by Cabell Richardson, a IJenry county consta"ble. - :z Clark is charged with having robbed several houses in Franklin county. He resisted arrest when the otflcer came upon him. and made a motion as If he intended to draw a weapon. Richardson immediately fired, killing the young man instantly. ' Later .de velopments proved that Clark, who is apparently twenty years of age, 1 had no pistol at the time.
