Several years ago the General Edu cation ; Board offered to give seven thousand five hundred dollars toward a fundlto be known as "The ( Alumnae Fund ahi Scholarship Fund," provided the college alumnae would; raise a similar sum for , the same purpose. This was quickly and willingly done and since 1902 this fund has been in active service. : Since its establishment this fund has aided, 121 students; hi 1905. nine out of ailass of twenty nine;. in-1906, seven out of a class of twenty-two; m l07j thirteen out of a class of forty-six; in 1308. seventeen out.of a cla9s"of forty-eight. All of these wculd have been unable to graduate, ; without aid from some esource, and while some of them could possibly.- have, secured aid elsewher7 many of .them could not have done so.
