A Sudden Death.
The wifo of Mr. John H. Park, of
Baldwin township, died very smi le dy ,
veatordar inormmr. She Inut heen in
her usual good health, and was at
tending to her household duties ns
usual, when, nfter breakfast, she
walked out into the yard, where she
was found soon thereafter dead.
Hor sudden death will be quite a
fehock to her many friends.
Burglary.
The office of our Register of Heeds
was broken in'o, on last Mond ,y
night, but nothing was stolen, nt leas
nothing is missed. The next morn
ing a negro eamo to impure of the
Register if he had is -tied a li -ense,
the night before, to a run away con
pie, because some darkey had eloped
with his thirteen-year old daughter.
Wonder if this coui-'e broke into the
office to get a marriage license ?
An rutimelv Death.
Wo very much regret to hear that
Mr. Theodoro C. James, associate
editor of the Wilmington Review,
died quite suddculy, on last Mond iy.
The deceased was a most gal'ant
officer in the Confederate nrmv, as
his armless sleeve attested, nud was
as true as he was brave. ILs untime
ly death will carry sorrow to the
hearts of a hos' of warm friends, who
so much admired his nobililv of soul.
