A few blocks down the street the machine was halted by a second mob and when the presence of Fraulein Luxemburg became known a man jumped on the running board of the car and shot her through the head. In the meantime Dr. Liebknecht was hurried into another automobile by officers and troops and the car was headed for the Moabit prison. While going through the Tiergarten the ma chine was halted by a punctured tire. Dr. Liebknecht was asked to get out by the officers, who intended to hail another automobile, and continue to ward the prison.
