STILL CAPTURED.
Friday officer C. T. Desern and .
Henry Harrington captured a 65- |
gallon copper still over in Cape
Fear township. They also destroyed
450 gallons of beer.
Uhe operators had been making
liquor at the still and were getting
ready to make more, but the office
ers broke up their little game. No
one was arrested and nobody hurt, j
except the feelings of the owners |
of the still.
DOGS*VS. POISON.
S
There are more worthless dogs in j
Pittsboro than any town in the j]
state the size of the place. It has «
become dangerous for a person to **
go out into their back lots after *
sun down. One citizen here says |
he is tired of being bothered with jj
these pests and he is going to use y
poison on them. The Record has "
warned dog owners to keep their a
canines at home time and again and j
if an owner misses his pet hound i
no one is to blame but himself. Keep
your dog at home.—Joe Snyder.
