Dark had the misfor tune of falling down the steps from j the barn loft and breaking both j bones in her left arm and otherwise I hurting herself. Mr. I. E. Crutchfield who has been a sufferer for more than three weeks expects to go to Watts hospital for treatment of his back this week. Mrs. A. E. Lutterloh, after spend ing two months with her son. Dr. P. W. Lutterloh at Jonesboro, Ark., returned home last week and reports a fine trip. , Last Wednesday 18 men aim .ive wagons were at Mr. Numa Cole s as sisting him in cutting and hauling logs for framing for a new house on the location of the one recently burned. Brown’s Chapel people are noted for their helping neighbors in trouble*. Twenty years ago three boys in this community got married without anyone at the time noting the cir cumstances that all three were mar ried on the 13th day of the month, just three months apart. Mr. Jeter J. Perry was married February 13 to Miss Mamie Hamlet; Mr. H. F. Durham May 13 to Miss Mary Snipes Mr. Walter R. Perry August 13 to Miss Mary Caudle. It seems that each family has had its share of bad luck but have taken it as their nortion and have thanked God that they have had so much good. Under the most beautiful mound of flowers ever seen at Brown’s Cha pel, Mr. Hayden Lindsay was laid to rest Tuesday of last week. Ser vices were conducted by Rev. C. M. Lance, assisted by Rev. G. W. Perry. Also a beautiful message from Hay den’s West Virginia pastor was read, which spoke highly of him as a church member, and also of Mrs. Lindsay. To her and the Lindsay family we again extend our most heartfelt sympathy and point them to Him who makes no mistakes. Miss Lacy Henderson of Raleigh, along with other relatives, enjoyed a birthday supper celebrating the 76th birthday of her mother Mrs. S. J. Henderson at the home of her son, Mr. F. R.
