But the difference mileage as adjusted over a
counter, and mileage as delivered on the road,
is pressing hard for recognition upon the intel
ligence of the American automobile owner.
And the guarantee is known today by tire-wise
moorists for just what it is—a confusing and un
necessary formality in the case of a good tire, a
disappointment and delusion in the case of a
