H. ADD1NGTON & CO., Norfolk, Va. IV' E would call the attention of Merchants in Virginia and North Carolina to this im mense stock of BOOTS, SHOES, TRAVELLING TRUNKS, VALICES, CARPET BAGS, -c., amounting to $150,000. It is one of the most varied, because it embraces every kind of Boots and Shoes that can be found in the United Statos, and it is the best self.i tf.d stock in all Virginia. The goods are made to order by the best manu facturers in this country, expressly for OUR WHOLESALE TRADE, and it is consequently better suited to the Trade of Virpinia nnd North Carolina than any wholesale stock of Boats and Shoes ordinarily found elsewhere. Besides having better coods. the sizes are made regular to avoid an over large quantity of small sizes, which is a great evil to the Merchant and one of universal complaint. Our care has ben to avoid this evil in giving orders for the manufacture of our stock of Boots and Shoes. gQ-We are prepared to sell these goods a shade lower than any other house in Virtriiuu, and we will do it. City and Country Merchants are there fore invited to call and look for themselves. Br3LTerms : 6 months credit. W. H. ADDINGTON & CO. Norfolk, V. Mar. 24, 54. 25 FOR NEW YORK. Our Tables and Bar shall at all times and under all circumstances be superior to any heretofore known in the South ; for we have made arrangements in Petersburg, Norfolk, and Baltimore to be sup plied with the luxuries of the season. Shocco Springs a-e distant twelve miles south from the Warrenton Depot, where Wilson -fe Phil lips' large and eomfortable Omnibuses, witA fine Teams, Hacks and Baggage Wagons, will always be in readiness to convey company in two hours. A superior Band of Music will be constantly in attendance during the season for the entertain ment of our guests, and a Billiard Table and Bowl ing Alley for their recreation. The beautifnl scenery, agreeable and inviting shades, pure at mosphere and refined society at and around Shoc co Springs are proverbial and need no comment. The following is an analysis of the waters made by Prf. Stewart of Baltimore : Epsom Salts, Sulphate Carbonate of Potash, Hydrochlorate of Pot ash, Sulphate of Potash, Hydrosuiphate of Lime Sulphuretted Hydrogen Free in solution, Carbonic Acid. of Magnesia. Carbonate of Magnesia, Muriate of Magnesia, Carbonate of Lime, Sulphate of Linje, Carbonate of Soda, Hydrosuiphate f Soda and Sulphate of Soda, In addition to these waters, whose virtues have been tested for upwards of half a century, the Red Sulphur Springs on the land of Mr. Whitmel H. A. Kearney, heretofore resorted to from Shoc co, will through his kind generosity again be open ed for the accommodation of our guests. They are within a pleasant ride over a good road and are considered highly efficacious in many diseases. RATES OF BOARD.
