On next Tuesday night, it is proposed by some of the ladies and gentlemen of Newbern, to give a Concert at the Theatre, the proceeds of which, are to be appropriated to educational purposes. The object is one in which all who feel an. in terest in the promotion of learning can heartily unite, but apart from the object, an irresistible inducement is offered in the entertainment itself, which will consist of vocal and instrumental mu sic, gotten up with great care by some of .the very best musical talent in this section of the State. We feel safe in saying that no one t will fail to be pleased with the entertainment and that each one will come away from tit with feel ings of gratification in having ; contributed to a commendable object, and also in having received a full and immediate equivalent for the money expended. Therefore, we say to all, go to this inviting musical treat, fill the house from . Par quetteto Gallery, and give evidence , by your presence and contributions that you are; willing to aid a worthy cause, while you show your good taste and appreciation of the beautiful, in listen ing to and admiring the charming music which will then be produced.
