John A. Gambill was suddenly
stricken ill and died at his home
near Cricket Sunday afternoon at
4:45. He lived only a lew min
utes after he was taken ill.
He was 26 years of age, a son
of Mrs. Vick Gambill. In addi
tion to his mother he is surviv
ed by one brother, Charlie Wad-
kins, and one sister, Mrs. Verna
Crysel.
Funeral and burial service will
be held at Union Methodist
church near the home Tuesday
afternoon at two o’clock. Rev.
Hubert Bullis will be in charge.

Four Negroes Injured
Four colored men, giving their
residences a s Madison, were
painfully injured when their au
tomobile wrecked Sunday after
noon near the Wilkea-Caldwell
line on highway 18. A passing
motorist brought them to the
hospital here and they returned
to Madison after their wounds
were given attention.
