a senior at the Asheville Normal
in Asheville, is here for two
weeks doing practice teaching in
the Junior high school and Tlalt-
ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Halgwood.
Mr. John Rhodes, who is inter
ested in the Rhodes Furniture
Co., at'West Jefferson, was here
Tuesday visiting relatives.

ville Warren and little daughter,
Coleen, of this city, spent the
week-end at Brevard College.
They went to see Mrs. Cox’s oth
er daughter, Mildred, who is a
freshman at the college and Mrs.
Warren’s sister, Arleine Colvard,
also a freshman, and brother.

the death on March 7th of Mrs.
A. M. Lundburg in Richmond,
Va. Mrs. Lundburg resided in the
city during the construction ot
the new postoffice building with
her husband who had the con
tract for its erecticn. Friends
here will regret to learn of her
death.
