Up to | ■ow, these children have been leading a comparatively secluded Je wUhln the Jiome. With-dj>e beginning of school they rub el bows with children from many homes, and sooner or later will come in contact with another child who is carrying the bug that causes some disease. Before the child starts to Bchool take him to your family doctor, if you haven't already- done so, and have him toxoided —immunized against diphtheria. Have him vaccinated for smallpox tm soon as possible. The latter is mandatory, anyway, and the ear lier you have it done the better. Toxoiding is not a serious dis comfort to a child, and the young er it is the less reaction it gets from it. Vaccination te the same. It doesn’t bother children now, tor vaccination has come a long, long way in the last few years. Vaccines are much purer and reactions much lijss severe. A trip to the dentist is a good Idea also. In other words, a child ehould have a coanplete check-up to insure he’s in the best possible physical shape for school. see * .Advertising Cost Land Sales 843.24 760.34 207.50 1.70 900.00 10.51 Estimated Revenue for Next Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1941 $41,387.00 3,191.50 699.07 1.500.00 1.100.00 4.250.00 1.900.00 650.00 300.00 767.79 100.00 76.00 .00 2.800.00 75.00 2.500.00 750.00 1.600.00 850.00 800.00 200.00 .00 900.00 100.00 —^bTaSL'i AIDl' CHILDREN Ifr.-. Answer; Don E. Ellis, Exten- eloD plant pathologist of State College gays that tobacco moisaic Is a highly infectious disease, ■ometimes called Walloon or Cal ico. It is able to live over in prac tically all types of natural or manufactured leaf tobacco. Sani tary measures, including the a- woiding of handling undiseased plants after handling diseased plants, is the best system of con trol. Ellis says that all plants showing symptoms of moeaic in the field should be destroyed, but sere should be taken not to han dle healthy plants after pulling the diseased ones. Ellis also says that the plant bed Is the first and one of the mo^ important sourc es ef Infestatioo, and he strongly oives that no tobacco trash of soy kind be applied to the plant bed. and that seed be used which sr« free from chaff which might osrry the disease. 126—Preparing State Abstract 202—Tax Books, Abstracts, Binders, Etc. 204—Postage —: 301—Advertising 328—Miscellaneous Expense 50.00 431.14 25.00 47.50 38.96 .00 400.00 1,200.00 150.00 50.00 425.00 26.00 60.00 40.00 TOTAL $ 2,185.84 $ 2,340.00 13—SHERIFF’S OFFICE 103—Sheriff’s Salary , $ 3,499.92 104—Clerk Hire 201— Office Supplies 202— Stationery and Printing . 204—Postage 301—Advertis'ng 306—Telephone and Telegraph 328- -Miscellaneous 401—Office Equipment 600.00 2.34 48.65 437.24 101.30 9.00 24.76 8.50 3,500.00 600.00 .00 50.00 426.00 100.00 10.00 26.00 10.00 TOTAL ....: $ 4,731.60 $ 4,720.00 14—ELECTIONS GENERAL 112—Compensation Election Officials 202—Stationery and Printing 328—Miscellaneous -f 73.00 .00 4.72 3,400.00 200.00 200.00 TOTAL $ 77.72 $ 3,800.00 NINE DAYS' WITH GENIUS tom EDISON.
