a worker makes false represen
tations through ignorance of the
law, local courts are lenient and
let him off with a warning. But

evidence that he wilfully violated
the law to get benefits, the courts
either assess a heavy fine or sen
tence him to the roads.
Recently, one Ebidley Corbett,
of Clinton, signed “continued
claims’’ for eleven weeks, stating
that he had no earnings each
week, and drew $6.60 a week, or
