ments were served .by the hostess,
being assisted by her daughter,

tain with Mrs. Clarence Call, was
remembered with a gift by Mrs.

home was attractively decorated
with a variety of garden flowers.

nouncement was made sometime
ago of the approaching marriage
of Miss Cashion and Jr.me^ Ro'b-
inson, of Lenoir, which is to take
place in July. Bridge was played
at three tables and rook at one.

white arch covered with' aspara
gus fern against a back^'round of
longleat pine, baskets of white
gladioli, and seven branched can
delabra. On the piano and in the
windows burned white candles in
antique candelabra.
Mrs. Herbert Mclnnls, pianist,
Miss Beulah Mae Byrd, of Broad
way, and Mrs. Reid Pleasants of
Carthage, soloists, presented a
program of wedding music. Tra
ditional wedding marches v/ere
used.'
The bride’s stepmother wore a
gown of rose chiffon and a cor
sage of pink roses and blue del
phinium. Substituting for the
groom’s mother, Mrs. Norman Lae
Barr of Norfolk, Virginia, sister
of the groom, wore a blue dress
with a matching corsage.
Mrs. Eugene Lambeth, of Ra
leigh, as matron of honor, was
the bride’s only attendant. She

of the groom. She carried a show

The bride is the daughter of
Mr. John Atlas Phillips and the
late Mrs. Sallie Fergii.=ion Phil
lips of Cameron. She is a gradu
ate of Flora McDonald College
and since graduation has had

work in the Deep River _ high
high school near Sanford.
The bridegroom is a son of
Mrs. .Arthur Garfield Poster and
the late Mr. Foster of North Wil
kesboro. He is a graduate ot Mars
Hill Junior College and Wake
Forest College. After graduation
he taught for two years at Deep
River high school near Sanford
rnd for the past year he has teen
budget manager of the Goodrich
Silvertown Stores with headquart
ers in North Wilkesboro.
The wedding was followed by a
reception given at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Phillips with
Miss Mary Ferguson, aunt of the
bride, as joint hostess.

guests at the door. The receiving
line was composed of the bride
and groom, the wedding party,
and near relatives. Miss Lillian
Cole registered guests. Miss Mary
l,acy Mclver of Sanford and Miss

dining room where punch, party
cakes, and mints were served.

Saturday night. The dining room
was unusually lovely in Its deco
ration of early summer flowers
and soft candlelight. The table
was centered with a three tier
wedding cake topped with a min
iature bride and groom.

bride and bridegroom left for a
wedding trip to points of interest
in Florida. For travel tbe bride
wore a beige suit with matching
accessories and a corsage of
sweetheart roses and blue del
phinium. Upon their return they
will make their home in Nortlj
Wilkesboro.
