Two Firms Win Bus Franchises Raleigh.—The State Utilities Com'mission has issued an order granting to B. O- Wo^le, opera-, tor of the Sallsbury-Mt. Airy Coach Company, and the Pied mont Coach Company franchises to carry passengers between Win ston-Salem and Salisbury. Tw'o shafts have been dug and as yet the bottom of the large vien has not been reached, states Hiram H. Ray. who together with his son. Thomas Ray. found the feldspar near their home in the Reaver Creek section last winter. The mine is located on the farm owned by Will Ray, a native of Ashe county and a resident now of Detroit. Mich.
