Practically everything has a num. her and people hare aereral num bers each. „ Keeping trael^of onr numbers is ai^ig Job. First of all our birth certifi cate, if we had one, would hare a number. And there is our Social Securi- number, which looks like a com bination of the alpha'^ t and most of the numerals. It is sup posed to he available at all times There is 'our driving license, which has a number, and the thing must be carried at all times. Then came the draft and 'we got a registration number and local order number. The card showing registration is supposed to be carried at all times. The automobile business is a, succession of numbers.. The title has a number, the motor a num ber and the car make a serial number. There Is the all-impor tant and very expensive license plate number and now we learn that it would he a good idea to record the number of each of of our tires, whoch would add five I more numbers to the lengthy list . And about all these numbers I are supposed to be on hand j any time anybody wants to know I our numbers. NUMBERS OR NAAfES Numbers are getting to be so important that it may be we will just drop names. 'Can you Imagine a news g'ory of an auto collision reading like this: At 8:30 on the 5th day of the month two cars, w'hich we desig nate as number 1 going east and number 2 going west collided on block 3 of stree* number 10 Car 1 was driven by driver 654321, accompanied by Mrs. 654321, who lives at 5432 on street number 8. In car number 2 was driver 123456 and his son, 123456, Jr., who were in an awful big hurry 'o get to nowhere number 6. Car 2, with motor number 142678 and aerial number I2A- 43235, and with liceiuae number 543-34 5, was badly damaged. Ps driver, 123456, suffered minor injuries and It was thought ver terbrae number 6 was fractured in his son, 123456, Jr. DrlTCr nmW.
