To The Republicans Of Wilkes County As you no doubt already know, I am a can didate for the office of Sheriff of Wilkes county on the Republican ticket, subject to the Pri mary which will be held on Saturday, May 30th. 1 have been a Republican all my life, hav ing been bom into and reared in a Republican home, with connections which have consistent ly supported the Republican party for many years. Since reaching my majority, I have been active on behalf of my party, giving as far as I was able, of my time and means in order that my party and your party might triumph at the polls. one of my Republican friends in person, i do want to thank you for the encouragement you have already given me since I announced my candidacy, and 1 want to take this means of re spectfully soliciting your active support and vote in the primary Saturday. 1 will greatly appreciate anything you may do on my behalf, and, if nominated in the primary, I pledge my self to make an active campaign for election— a campa^n that will carry the banner of Re publicanism into every nook and comer of Wilkes county.
