Norvell on Tuesday evening, at
S o’clock in Jacksonville. Fla., at
the home of the bride-groom’s
mother. Mrs. Oro A. Norvell. at
2811 Market street. Rev. J. T.
Boone officiated.
Tile home was decorated with
bowls of gladioli, dahlias, and as
ters. After the wedding supper
the bride and bridegroom left for
a wedding trip through Southern
Florida after which they will
make their home at 107 Jefferson
apartments, Charlotte.
Mrs. Norvell is the daughter of
C. C. O’Daniel of North Wilkes
boro and the late Mrs. Lillian Tur
ner O’Daniel and was graduated
from North Wilkesboro high
school. For the past four yearf
she has been connected with WBT
in this city.
The bridegroom is the son of
houseguest of Miss Lillian Staf
ford. Miss Janie McDlarmtd. Mrs.
J. C. Re'rs, and Miss Ruby Black
burn. Miss Ardrey, who is now
connected with the Durham city
schools, was In Asheville this
sum'mer for six weeks serving as
librarian In the Asheville college.
On Friday evening Miss Staf
ford grve a dinner party, Satur
day afternoon Miss Blackburn was
hostess at a tea, Monday ,after-
noon 'Miss McD'armid a tea.
Monday evening Mrs. Reins a din
ner iparty, followed by a theatre
party given by Miss Elizabeth
Finley, and Tuesday evening a
picnic at City Park.
At Miss McDiarmid’s courtesy
tea was poured by her mother,
Mrs, James C. McDiarmid. and
Miss Blackburn assisted with the
serving. The group enjoying the
theatre party viewed the picture,
“The Ox-Bow Incident”, after
wards to the drug store for re
freshments.
The picnic supper Tuesday
evening was a dutch affair with
ari^ngements being made by Miss
Stafford and Mrs. Guy Lillard. At
each event the guests were com
posed of intimate friends of the
honoree.

Billie Sue Bush, youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor

birthday anniversary with a de
lightful party at the home of her
parents on F Street Friday after
noon. Around sixteen guests were
present, and after a period of
vilay we^e served ice cream, cake
and lemonade by Mrs. Bush. The
white birthday cake was topped
with eight pink candles. Billie
Sue received lots of nice gifts.
