Ohio, to report for assignment for duty after spend ing a month’s leave here with his parents, Mr. add Mrs. ' A. B. Johnston. Capt. Bill Bullis, a photographer v'th army air forces at Venice. Florida, has arrived to spend a tew days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bullis. Sgt. Bullis was acfcompanied here by his wife, ’■•''o is making her home in Venice. Bill was recently pro moted from rank' of private first brought back here by Sheriff In score, complained thot he only got about one tenth of the money and that Pardue took the rest. A. W. Eller filled his reg ular appointment at Mt. Pleasant Sunday, a large crowd being pres ent. Sunday evening at 8 o’clock a number of people met back at the church end organized a B. T. U. under the leadership of Miss Lucy Evelyn Thompson. Every one should cooperate and take ad vantage of this wonderful or ganization and attend regularly. Cpl. Hal Church, of Fort Leon ard Wood, Mo., is ih on a 10-day furlough visiting his parents. Mr. end Mrs. P. O. Church and other relatives. He will be accompani ed back by his wife, the former Miss Margaret McGee. Miss Jessie Marley. of Fergu son, was a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McNeil. Mon day night. Mr. and Mrs. Bynum Holman and children, of Deep Gap, visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Blackburn over the week-end.
