Mr. D. B. Swarlngen returned to his home at Traphill this week after spending a tiw weeks in Ida ho and Wyoming, where he visit ed relatives and looked after bus iness matters. Mrs. G. O. Holland, of Warsaw, is here for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. C. B. Eller. iMrs. Holland spent the winter in Philadelphia with another daugh ter, Mrs. Wayne Eller. L., Sockwell has re turned to her home on 9th street after being a patient for three weeks at the Wilkes Hospital, where she underwent an opera tion. Friends are glad to know that she is recovering. McLean, who have been employed in Bal timore, Md., for the past eight months, have been spending a few days at their home on North Wll- kesboro route one. Mr. McLean is returning to Baltimore and Mrs. McLean will remain at home dur ing the summer. Misses Mary Lee Gardner and Mary Louise Newton, students of Virginia - Interment College at Bristol, Va., spent the week-end here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd F.
