Class Hostess The Septemibeir meeting of the Euzelian Sunday school class of the North WHkesboro First Bap tist church was held on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Jay Brookshire having twelve mem bers present. Mrs. Bill Miller, ^ soclate hostess for the meeting, was in charge of the ibusmess ses sion and led the devotions. It was announced that the October meeting would be held at the home of Mrs. Charlie Manshlp. Gard ner with Mesdames T. H. Wal ler, Murphy Hunt, and Jack Swofford as associate hostesses. Mr. Paul S. Cragan, superinten dent of the North Wllkeaboro public school, will address the club on education. 8th Column Club Met With Mrs. Gray The memibers of the 8th Col umn clu'b were entertained by Mrs. Russell Gray, Jr., at her home In WHkesboro Monday evening. Rummy was played at two tables with the top score prize going to Mrs. C. C. Faw, Jr. The hostess served refresh ments at the close of play. Mrs. Jack Spoinhour Feted at Party .Mrs. Lincoln Spalnhour was hostess at a small party at her home on E Street Friday eve ning honoring her sister-in-law, Mrs. Jack Spalnhour, of Hick ory. Two tables were placed for bridge and one for rummy, and at the close of play the hostess served refreshments. The bride wore a dress of white crepe with navy blue ac cessories and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Lillian Hitchcock, of Nor folk, Va., who was matron of honor for the bride, wore a drv.'ia of grey with navy blue acces sories and a corsage of red roses. Mr. Walter Bishop, of Norfolk, Va., was best man for the bride groom. Immediately after the cere mony the couple left for a wed ding trip in the Smoky Moun tains.
