"Joy to the World” was used as the opening hymn and the prayer waa offered by Mrs. Everett Tedder. Mrs. Parsons led the devotions using the Christmas story from Luke. Mrs. Elmore Dancy told about the gift of the Wise Men, Mrs. Coley Parker the glad tidings, Mrs. T. M. Foster a Christmas poem, Mrs. J. R. Turner a poem, "The Town of Bethlehem in the Christ mas Season,’’ Mrs. M. F. Brown, who is 86 years of age, sang a solo "We Shall Know Each 0th- Over There.” "Silent Night” nlng honoring Mrs. George Par- ller, Sr., the former Alene God frey Upchurch. ’Three tables were made up for bridge and three for rook, arranged In a setting suggestive of the bridal motif, and was preceded by a dessert course. In bridge the prizes for high and low scores went to Mrs. I Johnson Sanders and Mrs. Page Choate, and in rook to Mrs. O. K. Stevens and Mrs. Tal Pearson. Mrs. Pressley Myers won out in bingo.
