Upon Conviction of The Commissioner must revoke the license of any person who has been convicted in North Car olina or elsewhere of (1) volun tary or involuntary manslaugh ter, (2) driving an automobile while under the influence of li quor or drugs, (3) perjury ot making a false affidavit to the department of Motor Vehicles, (4) any crime punishable as a felony under our Motor Vehicle laws, (5) two charges of reck less driving, (6) failure to stop at the scene of an accident re sulting in bodily injury. The Commissioner may, after hear ing, suspend the license of any person who, in his Judgment, is incompetent to drive a motor ve hicles, or is habitually a reckless or negligent driver. Suspension For Failure To Pay Judgment The Commissioner shall su spend the operator's license and registration plates of any person who has failed to pay a Judgment resulting from an accident in volving bodily injury or damage to property in excess of $50.00. The suspension of license and registration plates shall continue until the judgment Is paid. The automobile involved shall not be re-registered in the name of any person so long as the Commis sioner has reason to believe that to re-register the automobile would have the effect or defeat ing the purpose of the law. A judgment shall be deemed satisfied after it is paid in full or if $5,000 as been paid in the event of injury to one person or $10,000 has been paid in the ent of Injury to more than one person or in the event $1,000 has been paid in connection with a property damage lops. What Constitutes Proof Of Financial Responsibility Proof of financial responsibil ity means proof of ability to pay iamages for liability thereafter incurred in the amount of $5,-1 )00 for injury to one person,! f 10,000 for injury to two or more persons and $1,000 for property damage. Fairplains Club In Meeting Feb. 3 Fairplains Home Demonstra ion club met Feb. 3rd at the lome of Mrs. Qulncy Whitting ;on, with a large attendance iresent. . " . Gamfbill led the devotions by -eading the 91st Psalm. Minutes were read and ap proved, roll call, and treasurer's report were given. A goodly sum was added to the treasure with lues and Stanley Products sold by the members. At this time three new mem bers names were added to the roll: Mrs. Han-old Bumgarner, Mrs. Edd Dancy, Mrs. Lester Class; and the re-instating of five ;'ex-members and two visi tors were present, Mrs. Walter Colvard and Mrs. Edd Tugman. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Roy Stocker and Mrs. Walter Irvin as group captains in the member ship drive, each having the same number present. Mrs. Qulncy Whittington was elected secretary, due to the ill health of the present secretary, Mrs. Alonzo Cleary. The club was saddened by the news of one member, Mrs. G. R. Andrews, being in the hospital and hope she'll soon be with us again. Mrs. Rex Kilby gave a report on the Home Nursing course taught to 14 women of our com munity by Mrs. Michell and as sisted 'by our own Miss Rebecca Moseley, of the Red Cross. We, the club, wish again to thank our president, Mrs. Wiley Brooks, who so faithfully kept the Ores and looked after the I pip building for the course. Mrs. Oreen gave a very inter esting talk on Ways to Serve Meat, a delicious meat loaf with vegetables prepared by Mrs. Oreen and Mrs. Whlttlngton In a pressure sauce pan was served and enjoye^L by all. While the meat loaf was being prepared a contest on different ways to serve meat was Colvard and Mi Brooks were prize Mrs. Clate Duncan test on know your cars, Mrs. Rex Kilby and Mrs. E.
