Mr. and Mrs. Danah Prevette and eon, Danny Lee, of Greens boro, spent the week-end with Mrs. Prevette's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Wright! Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Henderson and children, Daniel and Lona Ruth, were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Wright and family Sunday. Mrs. W. W. Calloway visited Mrs. Harrison Prevette Sunday. Mr. Andrew Speaks, who made his home with My. and Mrs. N. S. Souther, was burned to death about 4 o'clock Monday morning at the home of his son, Doll Speaks, in Winston-Salem. Mr. Speaks was burned when he tried to build a fire in a stove with kerosene. Mr. Speaks was around 60 yhars of age and was a bro ther of Mrs. Vick Burton of this community. Funeral service was conduct e*v?vt South River Church Tues dSpg 3 o'clock. _Funeral service for Mack Pre vette, son of the late Abram Pre vette was held from Mt. Pisgah Baptist church Tuesday, 2 o' clock. Death resulted from burns he received recently. He is sur vived by a number of brothers and' sisters. Mr. Prevette died Monday morning. Jdhnson Monday aft ernoon, February 10, for Its reg ular meeting. , Mrs. H. J. Spicer, president, called the meeting to order, and the group sang "We Believe in Our State," after which the club collect was repeated' in unison. In the absence of the secre tary, Mrs. J. C. Johnson called the roll. During the remainder of the business session Mrs. J. W. Sid den was elected Family Life Leader, and Mrs. J. C. Johnson Recreational Leader. Leaders for other projects will be named at the March meeting. A delicious meat loaf, with vegetables, was prepared by Mrs. Greene, Home Agent, in a pres sure sauce pan.
