The Cranberry revival will be

Rev. N. T. Jarvis has not been
as well as usual during the sum

Anderson's. Mr. Minton has been
sawing at the old Tilley place

months in 1939 and 1940.

The Pores Knob (Home Demon
stration club met at the Com
munity House Friday, Sept. 10th,
at 2 p. m. for the regular meet
ing with 20 members present.
The meeting was called to or
der by the president, Mrs. J. M.
Bentley. The club rooe and re
peated the collect and sang, "It's
a Good Time to Get Together."
Mrs. C. M. Ashley read the scrip
ture lesson. The minutes of the
July meeting- were read by the
secretary, Mrs. W. ? Anderson.
The treasurer, Mrs. Roy Parlier,
gave the financial report. Mrs. W.

Miss Margaret Morrison, assist
ant home agent, was present to
give a helpful demonstration on
"Furniture and it's Arrange
ment." She showed us the most
practical kinds ' of furniture to
choose in furnishing a house,
along with other helpful informa
tion. She showed different kinds
of springs, coverings, and pad
dings used In upholstered furni
ture.
At the close of the meeting
canned foods were labeled to be
put on exhibit at the fair. Sand
wiches were served by Mrs. M.
