Mr. Bruner is a graduate in forestry of Pennsylvania State College and has a master's de gree from the Yale School'"?f For estry. He has had exjkVience with the U. S. Forest Service in North Carolina, Tensessee, and Louisiana, and with the Agri cultural Extension Service in Ar kansas and South Carolina. Many Stray Dogs In N. Wilkesboro Are To Be Killed • Dogs Not; Vaccinated And Running Loose Will Be Destroyed Here Police Chief J. E. Walker said here today that stray dogs are be coming a menace in North Wil kesboro and that one child has been bitten by a dog believed to be rabid. Stray dogs, apparently with out owners and certainly not be ing confined or cared for, are be coming more numerous , in North Wilkseboro, particularly in the eastern part of town. Many of these dogs have been hanging a round the school buildings, creat ing a dangerous menace to all children around the school grounds. In the interest of safety the police hare ho choice but to kill the stray dogs which hare no ap parent owners. Police are requesting that all who have dogs have them vacci nated and to keep them confin ed according t6 law. A. J. Brown, legally appointed dog vaccinator for North Wilkes boro township, will be at Kyle's store on Highway 268 near Tur ner Oil company station all day Saturday, April 9, for the pur pose of vaccinating dogs. This '< represents a convenient oppor tunity for dog owners to have their dogs immunized ds- the law provides. When the document was stow ed away Jin a state department vault after the signing ceremony it bore 23 signatures. Under the protocol arrangements only Sec retary Acheeon signed for the United States. Bach of the other countries had two signer*—its foreign minister and its envoy to the United States. Each of the foreign nations will get a photostatic copy of the official text, but the original re mains in &e possession of the state department.
