School, Road Bond Election June 4 Raleigh.*—An energetic campaign to persuade Tar Heel vot-1 era to approve a $200,000,000 bond issue for rural roads and a $2*5,000,000 issue for school buildings was launched here yesterday. A group of about 200 persons met here at the call of Governor Scott and enthusiastically drafted plans for the campaign, including organizing a corporation known as "Better Schools and Roads, Inc". The group voted to hold the bond election on June 4 after Governor Scott said he would "let this crowd decide" on the election date. The Governor suggested either June 4 or June 11. "Better Schools and Roads, Inc., was proposed at a morning session and was formally incorporated in the early afternoon —probably one of the fastest jobs of forming a corporation on record. Plans call for the corporation to open an office in Raleigh immediately to push the bond election drive. It also was decided that the organization should have 200 directors—two in each county. Named to its corporation's executive committee were: Mrs. Ethel P. Edwards, of Raleigh, executive director of the N. C. Education Association; Mr. Ernest B. Hunter, of Charlotte; State Senator B. C. Brock, of Davie county; State Grange Master Harry B. Caldwell, of Greensboro; I. G. Greer, of Chapel Hill; Lieut. Governor H. P. Taylor, and L. P. McLendon, of Greensboro. u Out of State Cars Must Be Inspected Before N. C.
