Girl Scouts Camp Plans Arc Formed Plans are taking shape for the Girl Scout Summer Camp to be held at Mountain View school in July, and dates are 11-15 inclusive. Smoak, for Wilkes Board Meeting Of Council Held The Executive Board of the Old Hickory Council, Boy Scouts of America held Its quarterly meeting at the Carolina Restaurant, North Wllkesboro on Monday, May 2nd. Twenty-two members from the eight Counties In the Council were present, ^ilkes District was represented by Robert Gibbs, J. B. Carter and Louis Nelson. The main part of the meeting was taken up with the discussion and adoption of the report of the Council Surrey Committee. President John iBrown of Winston-Salem told of the progress of the New Scout Camp at Devotion, N. C. He asked for help from all Districts in the Council in developing the 500 acre tract given by Mrs. Elizabeth D. Reynolds. It hoped that the Camp would be ready for use over week-ends by the end of the summer. The next Board meeting was set for July, to be held at the Council Camp Lasater.
