Chairman Clyde R. H o e y (Democrat, North Carolina) made the claim as his superlnveetigatlng committee opened an inquiry into alleged "kickback" practices among Insurance brokers and freight forwarders. The day's program will open with Sunday school at ten a. m. Rev. A. w! JE-ller, pastor, will be In charge of the day's program and the church dedication sermon will be by Rev. Wesley Ashley. At noon dinner will be spread picnic-style. The afternoon program will be featured by special singing and talks for former pastors and residents of the community. Lewis Fork church recently completed a brick church building, which has adequate auditorium and Sunday school rooms. o — Mrs. John Walker's Mother Died Tuesday Mrs. J. C. M. Rhymer, 80, mother of Mrs. John E. Walker, of this city, died Tuesday at her home in Charlotte. She had been In ill health for a year and very ill for a week. Surviving Mrs. Rhymer are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Walker, of this city, Mrs. O. K. Hovis, W. H. Rhymer and John A. Rhymer, of Charlotte; also nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
